The saying two is better than one is true when it comes to pets. Dogs are pack animals which means they do better with others instead of being alone. When they are with their pack they know who to follow and protect.

Cats also like a companion. When cats are lonely they can become destructive, eat too little or too much, sleep more, become less active and interactive with their owner.
